KINILAW



Ingredients:
- 1 kilo tuna
- 1/2 cup vinegar
- 1 medium onion
- 1 medium cucumber
- Pinch of salt
- 1 medium ginger
- 5 pieces lemon
- 2 pieces hot chili
- 2 medium tomatoes

Procedure:
1. First, you have to clean the fish and cut it into cubes
2. Put it into the bowl
3. Pour the vinegar
4. Cut the lemon in half and squeeze it.
5 Put the sliced onion, sliced tomatoes, ginger, cucumber and salt to taste in the bowl together with the fish
6 Leave it out for one hour in the refrigerator before you serve

Hi! This is my first time to post in the forum, would like to share this simple yet yummmy dish.

Here's a simple eggplant recipe, easy as well...

INGREDIENTS:
1/4 kilo ground pork, lean
4 pcs. medium eggplant, sliced 2" long
3 pcs. garlic, minced
1 medium onion, minced
2 tbsp. oyster sauce
1 tbsp. soy sauce
1 tbsp. vegetable oil

1. In a pan, heat oil and sautee onion and garlic until tender.
2. Add in meat and simmer for 5-10 minutes, covered.
3. First add soy sauce, mixing meat well, then add in oyster sauce and eggplant. Let it simmer for another 5 minutes.

Here's a classic...
My version of Kinilaw nga Talong.

INGREDIENTS:
4 pcs. medium eggplant, sliced 3" diagonally
2-3 pcs. medium tomatoes, cubed
1 pc. small onion, chopped
1-inch ginger, thinly sliced
4 tbsp. vinegar
salt or ginamos(bagoong) to taste

1. In a sauce pan, boil about 3 cups of water. Bring it to a boil and add in eggplant until tender.
2. Remove and drain. Place in a bowl and mix all ingredients. Add salt or bagoong according to taste.
